Individual task For the particular assessment ‘Research methods and project design’, students have to submit the individual standards of conduct form on Moodle.

Assignment 1a Literature Review

Individual Report For writing the effective Literature Review for your particular project, each student has to refer to a minimum of 2 sources relating to the topic. One should be based on a peer-reviewed journal paper and one on a peer-reviewed conference paper. It is mandatory to follow IEEE reference style guidelines.

Assignment 1b Group Report

Project Requirements Analysis and Specification: Your group report should include the following sections:

Introduction

Give an overview of the topic selected and also give a brief description of what the report is all about.

Problem domain and research questions

Provide a clear description of the research problem. Make sure that the research questions are relevant to the problem being studied.

Background and Project Objective

State the aim and objectives of the project clearly. Write the Literature Review summary, each student has to refer to a minimum of 6 sources including 2 Literature Review from Assignment 1a (a total of three peer-reviewed journal papers & three peer-reviewed conference papers).

Group Report Project plan and preliminary design This assignment has to be done in a group.

This section should include the following sections:-

Table of weekly activities.

A detailed description of the roles & responsibilities of each team member.

Gantt chart appropriate to the project.

High-level Project Design with diagram.

Project Individual Design Approaches: Project with block diagrams step by step (you can use UML/Use cases/flow charts). Negative marks will be given for the inclusion of any software engineering or project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile, scrum, SDLC, etc. Design approaches should be technically specific including techniques/technology/algorithms etc.

Budget with references (detailed budget with specifications) –including hardware, software, human resources, etc.

Assignment 3: Group Submission

Group Report Final Report This final report should include Assignment 1 and Assignment 2 Reports. Mention the Conclusion and Limitations for the implementation of project MN692.

Assignment 4: Group Presentation

This assignment is an oral presentation of the submitted video file. The total weightage of the assignment is 10 marks in total.
